ProjectPier WYSIWYG Editor v1.3

I've carved some time out of my schedule to work on fixing the issues found in version 1.2 and I'm finally done. Now there is a version 1.3 which can be used for Commercially (see license located in zip folder).

ProjectPier WYSIWYG Editor version 1.3 has the following features:
  • IE, Firefox & Safari Compatibility
  • Multi-language Support (with the help of VladSavitsky from ProjectPier.org)
  • Provides WYSIWYG Editor for all textareas including custom forms

Bugs that were fixed:
  • Width in IE
  • Show/Hide Additonal Message Textbox

Will you be able to create a patch for this? I have other modifications already installed that if I simply overwrite with your files will cause those other functions to disappear.

I would have to look into it. The Guys over by www.ProjectPier.org wanted to have a version they could edit and use commercially so that's the reason for this release.

ultimately, it ends up being about the same thing. Just that in patch form I can resolve code conflicts with other patches and modifications I already applied to fit the version of PP I have setup already. You should still be able to include the licensing I believe from the WYSIWYG used.

Unfortunately, at the moment, it would take a very very long time to go through each file and inspect the changes made hoping I didn't miss something.

I'll have to read up on how to create a patch and then do so...

Awesome, thank you very much for the time you have spent on this. I tried this on an un-patched fresh version of 8.5 beta and it is working great.

Thanks! Glad I could help! ;)

Hey,

Awesome tool thanks for creating it!

I was just noticing that when I install the Wiki patch it isn't supported by your patch. I'm happy to go into the code and make changes but there isn't any information on changes that you made to the system to make this work. Could you give me a bit of a pointer on functions you had to call to make this work, embed the editor, etc.

Thanks heaps,

Shane

I have project pier 0.8.0.3 installed with no other patches so I could just over write my files as supplied in this update.

Everything works fine except you still can not see the editor in tasks. I can see it in task descriptions but not in the tasks window in the task lists when adding a task to a task list or when I try to edit the task for that task list. Am I missing something from above???

Gabre said...

Tim if I'm not mistaken I didn't apply it to the task page because the tasks would be simple 1 liner sentences that didn't need much formatting.

ok thanks for the update. I am really still trying to figure out exactly how to use this for my projects. I guess I will make the task description be the long form and then just add a one liner as suggested. I appreciate your help. Is there a way in the task lists to just show the first couple lines and then you click into the descrption to read the entire thing. Some of my descriptions on tasks to 5 or 10 paragraphs and then my task list is really long and you have to go thru many pages to just see the diffrent lists.
